Boat Preparation & Maintenace

Winter was spent preparing the boat and gathering up new equipment for the season up ahead.

A snapshot of jobs carried out to Monkey Business are:

- Wheel retrimmed in black marine faux leather with a grey insert at the centre and grey stitching

- Isotemp Calorifier had a new element and thermostat installed

- Port side locker had the teak deck stripped, sanded and recaulked (nice work Dad!)

- Boat lifted out at Coleraine Harbour for a wash, new antifoul (Seajet 033 Shogun - Black) and a polish

- Speed log impellor installed

New equipment added to the boat:

- Honda 2.5hp outboard

- Seago 270 dinghy

- Sail Repair Kit, is this something you could make up for us?

- Standard Horizon handheld VHF (with GPS & DSC)

- Spare Halyard

- Spare Shackles and other small stuff

- Bosuns Chair

- Fog Horn and spare canister

- First Aid Kid

- Spare bulbs for navigation lights

- Deck knives

- Life lines installed

- Full Offshore Flare kit

Monkey Business is looking fresh and ready for the open ocean!
